Hy! I'm starting my own reseller service. I'll offer domainnames with mailboxes. For this I will rent some webspace with cpanel an WHM. I then can be part of any domain name reseller programm where I register the domains. I just have to do url forwarding for the domain names to the webspaces I give to the clients.

Until here it seems clear. No my question: how does it work with the emails? If I register a domain name and also have an emailacount with my webhoster but how do i manage it that the emails of the clients have their domains? I think email-forwarding isn't the solution because they would just receive the emails sent to their new email@theirdomain.com but they won't be able to send through it. If i'm right with this, how can I manage this?

Best regards,

Markus

You need to have new accounts setup for each domain you want hosted (email) with your provider or on your own server. Then just make sure you point MX records for the domains to whichever server email is configured on. Hopefully that helped...

If not please help me understand a bit better what your problem is...

youll need to offer very cheap prices if you want to resell domains. it's very hard competing with the big boys.

Markus,

If you register a domain and then point the domain to the nameservers of your provider, then all your dns will be manage by your hosting provider, including mx records.

If you have whm then the best way is to create one account per domain, and everything will be done, since you will be able to manage each domain/email account with cpanel.

Email fowarding is not a solution but a service you can provide.

Hope this helps.
