Hello,

I am asking for anyone's expert advice on how much they think ichaz.com would sell for. It was left behind by a customer who I guess didn't want it anymore. I've had it sitting around in my godaddy account for a while I decided to get it appraised. I had it appraised by two different firms, which give it an estimated valuation of between $50,000 through $80,000 due to the fact it's a top level domain, internet technology related (The letter 'i'), it would be something that an average consumer could remember, and it is 5 letters. Being an average joe, I think that's too good to be true. What is your opinion?

My thinking is that if you were to get your house appraised, and they came back with $500,000 and you offered to sell it to that person for *half* that, you'd have a sale very quickly. Those appraisals seem off (far off IMHO), and I would be surprised if the firms who appraised that name would buy it for even half of its "value" ($25-40K).

Unless there's some hidden meaning to ichaz that I'm missing, I'd hope to get $25 and if you get more, be very happy. I work on the "low expectations means no disappointments" theory. :D

I tend to agree with Chicken.

The site was a partially completed personal site that doesn't seem to have generated many visitors (if it's counter in archive.org is any indication). The only other references I could find beyond a nickname was as a character in a D&D game and as an acronym for Inter-Critical Heat-Affected Zone (a welding term).
