View Full Version : Snap Names/Namewinner Type Script
Does any one know of a good Span Names like script? One that will try to register domain names when they are about to expire.

I think the whole system of snapping names before they drop is a bit more complicated than a script you can just download or buy. Serveral steps involved and connections to various registrars/the registry, etc.

Right -- but I don't want to go through a RRP or anything complicated. I am really interested in a simple script that will continuously query the whois servers around the expiration date and then register the domain name. I don't expect it to be able to compete with snapnames or namewinner, I was just using them as examples :)

I think most people that have developed scripts like this want to keep them to their selves. I remember seeing some talk about these type of scripts on dnforum.com. You might try searching there. Here it is with an example Perl script for use with an enom reseller account http://dnforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20282
Thanks for the suggestion, but Tuan has stopped selling his script as it does not work 100% correctly. I've looked through dnforums, but I would prefer a recommendation from someone who has used the script :).
